Ben and I first lived in the room above his parents double garage. Thankfully it was seperated from the house but very cramped as we had A LOT of 'stuff'; A lot less than the usual couple but to fit into one room (and with my wardrobe), It was tight.

Hoo Are You? Tuesdays

1. What did you get/give for Valentine's Day?

We only got eachother little presents; I got Ben a nice bottle of red (his favourite) and some choccies he can take to work. Ben got me the 'Dawn - Sarah Jessica Parker' perfume. We're hoping to go out for dinner somepoint this week as Ben was working from 3.30am - 10.30pm yesterday! He was knackered!

2. Do you have a vacation planned in the next couple of months or in the summer?

Oh yes and I cannot wait! In July, I'm going on holiday with Ben and his family to Gran Canaria. We have a nice little villa we're hiring for a week so will be super relaxing. Then, we'll be coming home for four days then I'll be jetting off with my family to Benidorm, Spain. We got an all inclusive deal and will be next door to a waterpark which we also have unlimited access too. So that will be the fun packed running around like a little kid holiday.

3. What is one thing you do to pamper yourself?

I love to get my nails done but I'm not allowed them for work as I work with food. I also like to get tanned - I love the smell of fake tan; but I haven't had one done in forever. The only thing I do frequently is dye my hair. I can't stand the roots coming through and always tend to dye it darker everytime. If my hairs good, I'm all good :).

4. What sparks your interest to other people's blogs?

Hmm, I like people who are funny and have talent. I really like craft, food, fashion, science and life blogs.

5. What kind of a mood are you in today?

I'm happy :). I was working from 10am-7pm so now I'm home and able to relax for a bit.

Egg Fried Rice With Prawns

I lovee prawns. They are so quick and easy to cook and are delicious. Here's a quick recipe you can knock up and be eating in 10 minutes. I really struggle with spicy food so I left out the chilli but didn't mind a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce!

Heart Tarts

Here is a simple recipe for marshmallow heart tarts. Like me, Simply Modern Mum had purchased a box of pre-made pie crust and was trying to find something to do with it. So she came up with this idea…

"Finally!" I hear you cry.. Some Valentines crafts! Yippee!

For some reason I'm super excited about V-Day this year even though we don't really have anything planned nor the money to really do much. I have the day off so will be really nice to laze about with Ben for a wholeee day! Just us :)

Anyway, super cute craft; numero uno!

Scary Day Out in London W/ the Fam!

London, attraction-wise is known for its scary tours and gory attractions especially the London Dungeons. I've been there quite a few times with friends and it was good but not really that scary...

Anywho, my cousins Ryan and Ciaren; and my Aunt - I call her Fee :) decided to have a scary day out in London like the cool cats we are (the picture makes sense now - Right?).

Now if you've never been to The dungeons you will not know about the ridiculous queue that leads all the way from the underground to the ticket counter. Then, once you have a ticket you then queue again for ages to actually get in! Usually there is an hour wait and this was the case that day so just opposite we found The London Bridge Experience !
No queue and some scary midget wearing a wig gave us half price vouchers (Shweet!). BTW, I'm not kidding about the scary midget dude..
Thats him cutting Ryan's head off.. SEE!

So that was pretty good but after we went to this awesome scary place opposite the London Eye which for the life of me and google I cannot remember or find the name of. It's like it just disapeared - I started trying to convince myself that maybe it never actually even happened but I do have a picture! So it must be real!
L-R: Ryan, Crazy Tour guide, Fee, Me, Ciaren

So it starts off by us being taken into this small room with security cameras in. We are told there is a quarantine situation where Zombies are running around trying to EAT YOU. At first you kinda just joke around but bare in mind this is the only attraction where the actors can actually touch you and grab you; None of this wishy-washy just shouting Boo! When you see the zombies approaching you have to barricade the doors but of course that wouldn't be much fun after about oh, 2 minutes so you go through the escape route.

You end up being taken through what seems to be an old hospital or mental clinic but its pretty dark and there were zombies after us so we were running and trying to 'save' our lives. It's pretty intense and lots of screams and laughter. Me? Well I was clinging on to Ryan pretty much the whole time - You know, the whole he's a guy, I'm a girl, it's his job to protect no matter how many years younger he may be. :)

It's so much fun and I really recommend it if you go to London. It may have just been a special Halloween* thing but it was Awesome!

* - Yes I know, I'm horrible. It has been that long and yes it has taken me this long to get this posted...
Ciaren and I

Overall, it was a really nice day out. I used to spend a lot of time with these guys when I lived down that way but now I'm up in Cambridge it's always a nice treat to go down there.

Riighhhttt...

.. Time to get this place in order! It's been a couple of months since I've been on here but with Christmas and everything I just couldnt make it happen. So, I think some updates are in order.

I would like to link to Lee Lou Blogs for this fabulous lovey dovey layout for the big V Day! That place always has amazing layouts and themes and I'm definately eyeing up some spring layouts already. I tried a couple of other layouts but somehow my posts ended up underneath the layout? So nothing was showing up for a while?! However, the genius that I am (and resetting EVERYTHING), I saved it :)

Welll it has been a very busy couple of months! I'm currently working like crazy and running around like a headless chicken.
Thats me (minus the blood)
So I guess this is a "Honey I'm Home!" kinda post :) x
